create a learning path
that fits your child

For too many neurodiverse kids and children with disabilities, along with their parents and teachers, school feels like an insurmountable hike straight up a steep mountain.

It’s hard to get your footing, you feel like you keep slipping, there’s a surprise spider in your hair, the water bottle ran dry hours ago, and the sun is starting to set.

I get it. As an educator, behavioral specialist, and inclusion expert turned homeschooling mom (and a neurodivergent learner myself), I understand all those twists and turns, so I’m bringing a little extra guidance along for the ride.

Whether you’re a parent or a teacher, I’m here to share what I’ve picked up along the way because I’ve seen how meeting each child where they are makes all the difference.

Let's make learning
nurturing, personal, and impactful.

Every child deserves a learning experience that truly fits who they are —but figuring out how to create that? It can feel overwhelming.

Here’s how I can help:

You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need the right support. I work alongside parents, teachers, and homeschoolers to bring relationship-focused, brain-based approach and help clarify what works for your child. Whether you’re navigating IEPs, untangling behavior challenges, or trying to strike a balance between structure and flexibility, I help you build a learning plan rooted in connection, respect, and real-life needs. Together, we’ll create strategies that honor your child’s strengths, make space for their challenges, and bring joy back into the learning journey.

Parents

You know your child better than anyone, but when their needs fall outside the norm, parenting can feel overwhelming.

I help you understand your child through a lens that factors in their developmental skills with neuroscience, so their behaviors make sense and your responses can be grounded in connection, not conflict.

Together, we’ll build support systems that respect their nervous system, reduce stress, and strengthen their relationships at home and school.

Homeschool Educators

When you're homeschooling a neurodivergent or disabled child, you're not just managing academics, you're tending to their nervous system, emotional world, and sense of safety.

My approach blends relationship-focused, brain-based insights with practical tools for everyday learning. We'll create flexible routines, sensory supports, neuro-affirming goals, and academic strategies that nurture your child’s development without sacrificing your peace or your bond.

When learning starts with regulation and relationship, growth follows naturally.

Teachers

Every behavior is communication, and understanding the brain behind the behavior is key to building trust and unlocking learning.

I support teachers with strategies that prioritize co-regulation, relational safety, and student engagement.

Whether you’re troubleshooting sensory overwhelm, decoding dysregulation, or differentiating instruction, I help you create a classroom where all students feel safe enough to learn and connected enough to try.

It's time to build a plan that’s as
unique as the kids we support.
Join me on the path.

I’m a former public school inclusion specialist turned homeschool mom, here to support families and educators of neurodivergent and disabled children.

My work blends developmental science, trauma-informed practices, and years of hands-on experience to help you create learning environments where kids feel safe, connected, and capable.

Whether in classrooms or around kitchen tables, I guide parents and teachers with strategies that honor both the science of how they learn and the heart of how they grow.

  • Leela, Homeschooling Parent

“Having a well-structured SEP [Student Educational Plan] has changed our homeschooling for the better! We identify more as “unschoolers” so I didn’t think that a having a plan was necessary, but in the SEP Studio, I learned why we needed to document our journey, and make goals for us to work towards. We still consider ourselves “unschoolers” but the observations I make about my kids learning has made me more confident and my kids are making further growth than I thought possible this year.”

  • Abbi, 4th Grade Teacher

"As a brand new teacher, I needed help! I was so focused on 'being in charge' that I was missing out on learning who my students' were as people. I was really overwhelmed on how to meet the needs in my classroom, and Shannon also showed me ways that I could simplify my daily routines so that each day I’m paying attention to a handful of specific things instead of feeling like I had to do all the things every single day.”

  • Mandy, Public School Parent

"With Shannon's help reviewing the IEP draft, I had a whole bunch of notes and thoughts on how we could improve it for [my daughter]. I felt more prepared to enter an IEP meeting than ever before and felt like my voice was being heard because I could clearly articulate what we wanted and thought was best. I feel so much more confident that [my daughter]'s needs are being met at school and the school team and I have more collaboration and less arguing this year."

  • Miriam, Homeschooling Parent

“I felt lost starting out, but Shannon showed me how to personalize learning to meet my son's needs. My son has an intellectual disability and a lot of care needs. Every day just felt like we had to get through the day and we didn’t have time for learning. But, the way she broke down looking at my son's strengths and building on them makes homeschooling so much easier! Now I see even the very small steps he takes in the places where he struggles instead of just feeling hopeless."
